1. Information We Collect

Mountaineer Signal collects only the information you voluntarily provide:

• Email address — when you subscribe to The Morning Mountaineer newsletter.
• Feed preferences — your selected fan archetype (Football diehard, Hoops junkie, etc.) stored locally in your browser via localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your email address is used solely to deliver The Morning Mountaineer daily briefing. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties.

We use anonymous analytics (page views, story clicks) to understand what Mountaineer fans care about. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you individually.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

Mountaineer Signal uses localStorage to remember your fan archetype preference and last visit timestamp. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect usage data per their privacy policy. Story links point to external publishers (WV Sports Now, Voice of Motown, etc.) — those sites have their own privacy practices.

5. Data Retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. Feed preferences stored in localStorage remain until you clear your browser data.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your email address at any time by contacting jbrooks@unisonsecurity.com. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately.
